Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra: The Manipur government, headed by Chief Minister Biren Singh, has refused permission for the Congress party's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra at Hapta Kangjeibung in Imphal East. State Congress President Keisham Meghachandra Singh sought approval for the rally, but the government cited the current unfavorable situation in Manipur as the reason for declining the request. Earlier, Chief Minister Biren Singh had stated that a decision would be made considering the prevailing circumstances.
