This video is about the link layer discovery protocol (LLDP). In this video we are going to go over the LLDP cisco configuration commands. The command to enable lldp is lldp enable. Let's also compare lldp vs CDP. LLDP is the open standard version and CDP is the Cisco proprietary version of the protocol.
The lldp configuration and commands are very simple. LLDP is supported on all Cisco routers and switches in case you need to integrate with third party devices. LLDP over poe does work. The lldp run cisco command is what turns the protocol on.
By the end of this video you will know all the cisco link layer discovery protocol commands.

lldp holdtime X
lldp reinit X
lldp timer X
lldp run (global)
lldp enable (interface)
VERIFY:
sh lldp nei
sh lldp traffic
