Johnson Controls honored Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (UAE) as an OpenBlue Pioneer with its Blueprint of the Future award. The prestigious award recognizes outstanding examples of visionary thinking and digital transformation, and the impact this has delivered on customers’ spaces, businesses and communities.
The Dubai Integrated Economic Zones Authority (DIEZ), an authority that consolidates and integrates the products and services of Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZ), Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO) and Dubai CommerCity (DCC). DIEZ portfolio of LEED Platinum buildings in the United Arab Emirates stands at 31 today, which is a pioneering example of its commitment to align with the Dubai Clean Energy Strategy 2050. As part of the project, DIEZ partnered with Johnson Controls to deliver comprehensive energy conservation solutions at DSO such as High Energy Efficiency Variable Speed Drive (VSD) chillers and OpenBlue Services for Optimizing Chiller Performance. These AI-driven services provide predictive analysis and maintenance, empowering DIEZ to maintain reliable operations at DSO, reduce its carbon footprint by 1848 tons per year and guarantee energy savings of 4.2 million kWh per year – a reduction of 30%.
