WDR BIG BAND & San Andreu Jazz Band / Joan Chamorro - Recado Boss Nova

The WDR BIG Band plays under the direction of Joan Chamorro "Recado Bossa Nova" (K: Djalma Ferreira, A: Alfons Carrascosa). Musicians of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band from Barcelona / Spain are also part of this concert. Solos will be played by Koldo Munné (alto saxophone), Elsa Armengou (trumpet), Gerard Peñaranda (trumpet), Alba Esteban (baritone saxophone), Stefan Pfeifer-Galilea (alto saxophone), Andy Haderer (flugelhorn), Raphael Klemm (trombone) and Mattis Cederberg (tuba). Livestream of the concert "Jazz mal anders: WDR BIG BAND & Friends" at the Kölner Philharmonie (May 2022).

The famous Sant Andreu Jazz Youth Band from Barcelona is also infected by jazz fever - the young musicians love jazz and will put on a brilliant program in their first joint concert with the WDR Big Band: Jazz is in the air!
