Gelmer lake Hike and Gelmerbahn Funicular

The Gelmer lake (Gelmersee) is a mountain lake in the swiss alps. Its beautiful turqoise color makes it a very beautiful sight. The ride up to it is known as a very spectacular ride, as it is one of the steepest funiculars in the world and the steepest open top funicular of the world. It feels like you are about to slip out of your seet and you even get one of these safety bars as if in an actual rollercoaster.

We travelled to the lake before, but due to traffic jams on the way sadly didn't have the time to do the actual hike around the lake. This is our return to Gelmersee to enjoy this exciting hike.
