Bullies like to pawn your
Bullies like to pawn your little red toy car, and they even hunted you down in your dreams! See if you can survive the madness here in Car Eats Car 2: Mad Dreams! The task here is to drive the red car and reach the gas station at the end of the track. Avoid crashing on the obstacles to prevent damages on your toy car. Not only that, monster cars will be unleashed and eat you up. Use bombs to slow them down and pick up speed boosts to avoid getting eaten! Collect the diamonds and use them to buy upgrades.
Overview:
Our little red car is at it again, raging in the road like he’s a free man. This time he’s in a dream a dream about future desolation and a dystopian setting. It seems that the other cars want to eat him in this dream which is why he has to attempt to run away from them. Running away isn’t enough though as our little friend tries to fight back in subtle ways.
Aesthetics:
The game’s graphics are nice and colorful. It’s also very bright and vibrant despite being set in the dystopian future. Then again most of the color tones repeat but that’s not necessarily a bad thing to say the least. The game uses hand drawn art mixing with cartoonish elements as the cars have those big eyes and some of the enemies have that menacing look to them. The animations are fluent and the game looks good in general. The music is also good although it does tend to repeat. The music gets you pumped up as if you’re going on a nice drive.
Gameplay:
The game is a 2D driving action game. The action isn’t as intense but it does have its moments. The main objective is to bring our little red car to the end zone of the level. This is also provided that he remains alive during the trek since he has a life bar that mustn’t reach zero or he’s dead. In the course of the level there will be a car that will be chasing our little red friend. This enemy car will attempt to eat our red car but he can fight back. One way of fighting back if you can call it that is by using the boosters. The boosters give you speed and allows you to go faster possibly outrunning the enemy car. Boosting can also send you flying into the sky for more bonuses as well as gaining more distance. If you’re really good you can stay in the sky until the end of the level but the red car will have the tendency to fall down so watch out. The other way to fight back is with the use of bombs. Our little red car can throw bombs at the enemy cars from behind. Even if the enemy car is destroyed with the bomb, they will respawn and continue the chase so it’s ideal to finish the track in rapid succession. There are also rubies and gold cogs to collect in the tracks. These act as currencies that allow you to upgrade our little red car. The rubies are mostly used to upgrade the car’s basic parts. These would include having better wheels, the amount of boost he can use, the amount of his life bar as well the speed. The gold cogs are for buying bombs and guns which are really expensive. You can choose to convert rubies to cogs or vice versa but the gold cogs are more expensive than the rubies when converting them.
