The Regina Caeli is a prayer in honour of Our Lady -- Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ. Translated from Latin, it means Queen of Heaven. It is traditionally prayed at the end of each day. During Eastertide -- from Easter Night to Pentecost -- it is prayed three times a day in place of the Angelus, at 6.00am, 12.00 noon and 6.00pm.

At noon on each working day during Eastertide, we stop work in the Aid to the Church in Need office and gather together to pray the Regina Caeli.

V. Regina cæli, lætare, alleluia:
R. Quia quem meruisti portare, alleluia,

V. Resurrexit, sicut dixit, alleluia,
R. Ora pro nobis Deum, alleluia.

V. Gaude et lætare, Virgo Maria, alleluia.
R. Quia surrexit Dominus vere, alleluia.

Oremus.
Amen.
