Hoang Su Phi, one of the rare places that owns the most beautiful terraced fields in Vietnam. A poor border district of Ha Giang province bordering China. Every year around October, before the ceremony to worship new rice, whole this place will cover a bright yellow color of terraced fields for the harvest season.
The place where Khoai introduce to everyone today is the Phung village, the heart of Hoang Su Phi, I’m very lucky, because I stay here for the best 3 days of ripe rice season, that is also the reason that makes this place become special, because not only the road is extremely difficult and dangerous, if you come here earlier or later than a few days, the scenery is less beautiful.
Mostly of people here is La Chi. Where the fields are, people build houses there, not live in villages like other ethnic groups. The La Chi people here believe that the forest is what helps to retain the water, so they are always conscious of keeping and preserving the forests on the top of the mountain or along the streams.
Today Khoai and two La Chi boys will take you to visit a round of highland area. We will go to the stream to roast specialty black chicken with the Mac Khen seeds. I hope that the chance meeting between me and the two boys will bring little joy to the weekend for everyone.
