Hi guys! Its finally here...the much requested vernis tutorial! In this video, part 1, I will show you how to prepare and dye vernis, as well as how to dye your zipper rail (or zipper tape) as well. What I used for this project:
Acetone Nail Polish Remover
Cotton Balls
Fiebings Leather Dye in orange
Cotton Rags (lots)
Fiebings Leather Colors in Dark Brown
Fabric Dye Pen in Dark Brown
Fiebings Leather Sheen (Liquid---it also comes in spray)
Paint Brush
I get a lot of my deals on eBay...you can get some great bags too and if you are unsure about authenticity, there are some reliable authentication services out there. Melissa is highly respected in the LV community and an expert at authentication--she can authenticate a bag from detailed photos and can ease your mind before making a purchase on eBay.
