Howard Hawks is undoubtedly one of the most important representatives of Classical Hollywood and "Hatari!" from 1962 is a highlight in his filmography. Almost an idyll, with great landscape shots and stars such as John Wayne and Hardy Krüger, but it should by no means be received as apolitical.
