ആറാം ക്ലാസിലെ Making a Mango Pickle പരിശീലന ചോദ്യങ്ങളും ഉത്തരങ്ങളും The summary of the story The story 'Making a Mango Pickle' was taken from the famous Bengali novel Patherpanchali, written by Bibhuti Bhushan Bandopadhyay. The story explores the bond between two siblings, Durga and her younger brother Apu. Their affection for each other is reflected in their actions. Durga called Apu from behind the jackfruit tree and in her hands she held a coconut shel contained a tender green mango. Apu was delighted to see it and enquired, from where did she got it? They tried to pickle it before their mother Sarbojaya arrived from the ghat. They secretly prepared mango pickle with oil and salt from the kitchen and shared it. Then planned to take some more mangoes from near the pond and prepare pickle in the next day. When the mother entered in the house with a shout, she furiously devouring the slices of picked mango and Apu was swallowing it. Durga wipe Apu's face clean and appeared before the mother with an innocent expression. Mother scolded Durga for wandering and enquired about Apu. Apu appeared with an announcement that he was hungry. Later Sarbojaya sat down in the veranda to cut up a cucumber for children. Durga asked whether there had any more of the rice fry. Apu suddenly said about the mango pickle that he had eaten before and stopped abruptly when Durga growing and wrinkling at him. Sarbojaya questioned about the mangoes and Apu looked questioningly at his sister. She then turned to her daughter and demanded on her going out. Fortunately the conversation was cut short by the entry of the milk woman. Durga went to catch the calf and Apu followed her sister. She made faces at him and mimicked him by calling him monkey and said, Dumbo! No brains at all.
