Cyberghost Review 2024. Here's my updated review on Cyberghost. Cyberghost is one of the best VPNs in the market today, it's great for security, low-ping gaming, performance and speed, and of course reliably unblocking streaming services.
So I've been using VPNs for a while now. And I've come to form a solid idea around what a good safe VPN looks like. Now with CyberGhost, on one hand, you have reliable unblocking capabilities and great speeds. But on the other hand, it's missing some features and has a questionable parent company. And so today I'll be giving you the complete picture, including the good and the bad, so that you can decide if CyberGhost may or may not be the right choice for you and your situation. And the answer is a resounding yes. . But here's what concerns me most with CyberGhost. And this is the controversial bit that I referenced in the beginning. The parent company, formerly known as cross rider has been renamed to Cape technologies. And there's a lot to unpack here. But long story short, a company was founded in Romania back in 2011, and sold to cross rider in 2017 for about $9.7 million. And at the time cross rider was known for hiding malware and software bundles and infected computers with adware. Hence the name change in an effort to try to distance themselves from that shady reputation. And now Keith technologies have also purchased other VPNs such as zenmate, Private Internet Access, and most recently, even ExpressVPN. Though Cape did express that while these VPNs may be under their wing, the same teams still operate, said VPNs and are under their own unique privacy policies. Unlike CyberGhost privacy policy, which is for the most part constructed by cross rider or Cape technologies. So with regards Suzanne made BIA and express VPN, nothing's changed. Besides the ownership Only time will tell though the genuineness of that statement. But so far, it remains to be true. And it seems like cape is really trying to do better this time around. But ultimately, the lack of independent audit reports with CyberGhost is the main reason why I prefer ExpressVPN over it. So to sum it all up, what do I think of CyberGhost. But let's say you're a journalist, a whistleblower may be a privacy conscious user or simply someone who lives any restrictive country, then CyberGhost may not exactly be the most ideal VPN for you. And that's why I personally still prefer ExpressVPN for daily use. And it's because I want that extra peace of mind that comes with an audited privacy policy, as it is the case with ExpressVPN. But if you're looking for a much cheaper alternative, time saving convenient features that get you going without even having to interact with the VPN itself, very reliable access to various streaming services and solid encryption that lets you download or Are torrents safely then CyberGhost would likely be the right VPN for you.
