Hey lovelies~! Here's another pie recipe for y'all to try! I have walnuts lying around the pantry and it's been a while since I've had walnut pie so making this is just the perfect excuse to eat pie :)) This is pretty easy to make and no blind baking required too! This was a joy to make (and eat!) and I hope y'all give it a try. Please enjoy!

How to Make Walnut Pie
Pie Tin: 22.9 cm (9 inches) diameter with 2.5 cm (1 inch) depth *I used 19 cm (7.5 inches) in the video
Preheated Oven: 180°C (356°F) *fan setting on / convection oven
Bake Time: 35-40 minutes

INGREDIENTS

~Pie Crust~
180 g (1 1/2 cups) ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
12 g (1 tbsp) SUGAR
3 g (1/2 tsp) SALT
44 ml (3 tbsp) WATER, COLD
5 ml (1 tsp) VANILLA EXTRACT (get it here: https://shp.ee/wajwk7s)
151 g (2/3 cup) UNSALED BUTTER, COLD

*Refrigerate the pie dough for 40 - 60 minutes. It should be cold but pliable.
*Roll out the dough to fit your pie tin. I used 19 cm (7.5 inches) pie pan but this pie recipe fits
a 22.9 cm (9 inches) pan with a depth of 2.5 cm (1 inch). Poke holes at the bottom using a fork then refrigerate for at least one hour.

~Walnut Filling~
2 lrg EGG YOLKS
3 lrg EGGS
128 g (3/4 cup) BROWN SUGAR
55 g (1/4  cup) UNSALTED BUTTER, MELTED
3 g (1 tsp) GROUND CINNAMON (get it here: https://shp.ee/icx7uez)
5 ml (1 tsp) VANILLA EXTRACT (get it here: https://shp.ee/wajwk7s)
118 ml (1/2 cup) CORN SYRUP
 *Use honey as substitute if corn syrup is unavailable.
150 g (1 1/4 cup) WALNUTS, COARSLEY CHOPPED (get it here: https://shp.ee/57cbpxh)
  *or 300 g (2 1/2 cups) of walnuts if your doing two batches

*REMINDERS: This recipe is for two batches. You can store the extra filling mixture (walnuts not included) in an air tight container and refrigerate for a week or freeze up to five months.
*Bake in a preheated 180°C (356°F) oven for 35-40 minutes. Fan setting on.
*At the end of the video I topped the pie with ice cream (coffee crumble flavor ♥), this is optional :)
