Bhante Gunaratana - The Kamma of Anger

Reacting with anger to provocation leads to suffering, the least of which is ugliness. Love of peace over righteousness to beauty. (The Buddha, M 135.3) Note that kamma is not the same as psychology here; kamma refers to an effect that intentional action leaves on the mind, which - time delayed - attracts certain reciprocal situations subconsciously.
