T2D Project Early Works

A lot of work has been undertaken on South Australia's T2D Project so far, including essential enabling works such as ground investigations, service relocations and demolition. These works are essential to prepare sites for construction.
We’ve now started work to prepare the Southern Laydown Area in Tonsley/Clovelly Park for the arrival of the tunnel boring machines (TBMs), which is a huge task as the site is so large.
Another key element to prepare for arrival of the TBMs is building a power substation to provide a dedicated power supply to the TBMs. This work is underway and will ensure we are ready to kick off main construction in 2025, as the Australian and South Australian governments deliver the final 10.5km of the North-South Corridor.
