@ Baby Peyton (poor thing looks like a baby squirrel) came in as a “stray” to an Atlanta shelter today, covered in fleas, barely able to wobble on his tiny feet. 20 minutes later, he could not stand or open his eyes & the shelter didn’t think he was going to make it. Of course we said we would help & he was instantly rushed to the closest ER vet. He was extremely dehydrated & immediately put on IV fluids. Blood work has been run.
Peyton is about 5 weeks old & only 3 pounds. We shudder to know where his siblings & mama are he was found alone & would not have survived much longer in the July heat.
