Tidal wave on ride front
Tidal wave on ride front row point of view filmed during the parks Mashup Easter event.
The ride opened in 2000 as the parks very first major investment. It was once known as the tallest flume ride in Europe at a height of 85.8 ft. From 2006 - 2009 it was sponsored by Original Source then in 2010 it took the sponsor of Dr Pepper. It is set in the location of Amity Cove in the park, based on a 1960's British fishing village. The area contains a high level of themeing.
The ride is manufactured by Hopkins rides, the model is a shoot the chutes. The ride reaches a maximum speed of 45.6 mph and contains three boats of 20 riders per boat. From the high capacity per boat it can get through around 1000 riders per hour.
