Congress leader and former Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi stoked a massive row by  supporting Amritpal Singh, asserting that the pro-Khalistani leader has the backing of approximately 2 million people.  "20 lakh Indians have chosen Amritpal in power," Channi said during the Budget session in Lok Sabha on Thursday.
