"Doorbell" is a short film
"Doorbell" is a short film based on domestic violence produced by SHOR films, sadly domestic violence in Pakistan can be seen from 30 to 50% of the whole population and it gets worst when it starts to travel into our generations. The film portrays what's wrong and what would come back to us. Doorbell was produced in December 2019 by SHOR Films in Islamabad, Pakistan.

We really wanted a break!
All of us were really busy in studies, Fahad Qaseem Shorwala was dealing with his last semester at GIKI, I was building a news company in the evenings and early morning. Sheraz was doing his MBBS, Ali was becoming an engineer but was always looking for a place to showcase his filmmaking skills. We were already managing some corporate video production clients alongside but that creative keera was not satisfied.
We got a chance!
An organisation rolled out a project to make something related to domestic violence and BOOM, we had an idea to try out all the extraordinary things we hadn't done yet. One of our Lawyer friend Shehrbano Awan had a script written which she really wanted to get filmed. We took that in and called the whole team to work!
We were shooting this video on a cinema camera, because we hadn't done that before, and that was just to satisfy our filmmaker kink. Everyone of the squad was put to word, Sara took the spot for Locations, Sheraz told us not to worry about money because "Paiha baot ae". Ali was an angel, he took care of literally everything related to script, costumes makeup etc. Asim bhai supported in everything and Shehram bhai came in for acting. Mustafa Bin Javed, Sheharyar Bhatti, Furqan Gul, Faiqa Akmal, Hassan Tariq, all were there sincerely investing their time for making this possible in the short span of only Two days!
Ok, last part of the story, Pakka!
We edited the video, aur hamain pasand nai aai, we edited again, aur hamain pasand nai aai, we made a music score aur hamain pasand nahi aaya, and...... Hamari hard drive kharab ho gai and we lost all the rawdata. Here you have something to watch, which is definitely not a 100%, But it is worth your time. Team ki efforts ka bharpoor izhar nazar aaye ga aap ko, which a hooking story!
