Ford 7.3 oil capacity is 15 quarts (2 of which go in the oil filter itself, remaining 13 poured into engine oil filler)
Drain bolt torque spec: 10-12 ft-lb
How to change the engine oil and fuel filter on a 7.3 Powerstroke.
Diesel trucks, like my 7.3 Ford Powerstroke F250, require regular engine oil & fuel filter changes in order to be in top running shape. Because diesel engines rely so heavily on engine oil and clean diesel fuel, it is recommended to change the oil & filters at frequent and regular intervals. For my 7.3 Powerstroke, I change the engine oil, filter, as well as the fuel filter every 5000 miles. This video will show you how to change the engine oil and filter, as well as drain the fuel filter bowl and change the fuel filter.
