Monday offers break from triple-digit weather in Northern California

Average temperatures are forecast Monday for Northern California, a change of pace following two separate heat waves. However, triple digits do appear to be on the horizon.  Meteorologist Tamara Berg said the latest heat wave, a period of at least three days where temperatures reach 100 days, lasted from Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday. Monday breaks that heat wave with an expected high of 95 degrees, which is average for this time of year.
