This remaster is dedicated to @GC2112 who has been asking for this show for months! Little did they know, I've been working on it the whole time. Enjoy, my friend!

The original plan was to play this show elsewhere, at Old Trafford. Despite it having been cleared by the council and police, with tickets being printed and ready to go, local residents got the last word, insisting that the volume of the sound would be disturbing.
Residents of Leeds also complained after it was announced that the show would be played at Elland Road, but thankfully, it would go on regardless. The band negotiated a later curfew with the police to ensure they could perform their full show, but they still came on later than initially agreed upon so that the lighting rig would be at its most effective. You'd think the boys would've learned their lesson after Hyde Park, but alas.

On this night, Back Chat is added back to the show after being absent for some time, with We Will Rock You (fast) returning as an opener and Sheer Heart Attack getting moved back to the encores. The usual improv after Love of My Life turns into the only hint of Keep Yourself Alive on the entire tour, which disappoints the attendees surrounding the taper.

Mercury is in fantastic shape this night, and it sounds like he's in a great mood as he's very chatty and gutsy. He even gets a little sappy before Action This Day ("You don't know what that means to a performer!"). He's in about the same shape as Milton Keynes, so it's interesting to compare his performances through the night. This show also has an attempt at a Somebody To Love C5, key word being "attempt", as it's one of the rougher ones. Seems he loses his creativity after that point, as he gets very uncharacteristically quiet for the rest of the song's ending.
Dr. Brian May is definitely the highlight of the night, as he plays with masterful precision and creativity. Tonight's Back Chat is often cited as one of his greatest live solos of all time, and that is not a statement to be taken lightly.

On the remaster side of things, this show had a similar issue as Copenhagen 78's second side. There were higher frequencies that were literally just hiding under the tape hiss, after de-noising they could be brought out, but it has the same trade-off as Copenhagen where it sounds a little bit grainy. The sub-bass frequencies were also present on the original tape, but not utilized very well in the mix. I brought it up, while turning down the higher bass, creating an incredibly punchy sound, with a very good bass drum. Honestly might be the tightest bass sound I've gotten out of a remaster.
Thanks to the second source, this show is 100% complete, including encore cheering. I cleaned up the second source quite well, but it's so distant that it's still a very jarring change whenever it shows up. A polished turd is still a turd.
My original plan was to make a matrix of source 1 and 2, as source 1 is taped so close to the PA that you don't get much of the audience atmosphere, while source 2 has the exact opposite problem. I only ever finished Save Me and Bohemian Rhapsody before scrapping that idea, but they sounded fantastic. Bohemian Rhapsody especially benefitted from the matrix, as source 2 fills in the gaps of the operatic section (listen to how Roger's "galileo" is almost entirely gone on this upload.) Maybe some day I'll revisit, but don't hold your breath ;)

Brian May himself has said in the past that this was his favourite Queen show (which really comes across from his masterful playing), and that he wishes that they filmed this one instead of Milton Keynes. What do you think? Did they make the right choice?
