Exit poll: Jeremy Hunt could be first ever sitting chancellor to lose his seat

Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is among several cabinet ministers who will lose their seat tonight, according to the broadcasters' exit poll.

The chancellor is the most high-profile Tory set to miss out, the poll indicates, with the Liberal Democrats most likely to take his seat in Godalming & Ash.

Grant Shapps, the defence minister, and Johnny Mercer, the veterans minister, could also lose their seats, according to the poll.
