Dhanush Gun System

India's indigenously designed and developed Dhanush 155 mm/ 45 Calibre towed Gun System is finally ready for induction into #IndianArmy. The first batch of Dhanush Gun System will be handed over to #IndianArmy by Ordnance Factories Board #OFB on 8  April 2019. Dhanush Gun System can be employed in all types of terrains and is one of the new generation towed artillery gun system. Its mechanical upgrade results in extended firing range upto 36 km. The Dhanush Gun System currently has 81% indigenous content which opens the gateway for future production and ease of maintenance of the gun. It also gives a boost to the development of indigenous industrial base in the country. Dhanush Gun System has successfully completed all trial parameters and nearly five thousand rounds have been fired during the various internal and user trials in different terrains.
