Why your bread didn’t rise? | How to find yeast is active
How to test if yeast is active before baking? In this video i show you guys how to find active and dead yeast.
Prepare two seperate bowls or container with yeast, includes
1 teaspoon of sugar - [ the role of sugar in yeasts is to provide food for the yeast ]
1 tablespoon of dry yeast - [ measurements of yeast depends of the recipe you are following ]
lukewarm water [ be careful of the water temperature ]

Mix it well until sugar dissolves, let it rest for 10 minutes or more, when tiny bubbles begin to appear on the surface or around the edge of the bowl or container it means your yeast is active and when yeast had no bubbles appear meaning your yeast is dead or not active. Learning how to activate yeast is the first step when it comes to baking, proofing yeast helps to rise bread and makes bread soft and fluffy.
P.S cold and hot water can kill yeast. If yeast is old and not stored properly, it may not activate yeast too.

Note: If you’re using instant dry yeast you can add instant dry yeast directly to dough.
