Founded in 1940 as a hamburger stand, McDonald’s became a shining example of America’s fast food industry as it invaded malls and cities. Today, McDonald’s can now be found in 120 countries. Despite this success, it has not stopped them from being the bottom of all jokes on Wendy’s Twitter account (like a petty little sister, she’s relentless). As not everything always goes as planned let’s discuss the top 10 McDonald’s fails.

McDonald's is the leading global food service retailer with over 36,000 restaurants in more than 100 countries around the world. If you enjoyed this facts list of the top 10 McDonald's restaurant fails, then comment: #McDonalds #FastFood #Fails

SUMMARIES:
- McSoup is not only the least appealing McDonald’s item in a long, long time, it’s also just Campbell’s Soup poured into a red cup with Golden Arches to justify the prefix.
- McDonald’s can’t fit a country between two buns as hard as it might try, but its debacle in Vietnam definitely qualifies to be a part of this list.
- Big N' Tasty. With a 1/4 pound* 100% beef patty, juicy tomato, premium leaf lettuce, pickles, slivered onions, ketchup and mayonnaise dressing on a toasted sesame seed bun, we could have called it The Ginormous Burger. (But we didn't.)
- The Hula Burger was a meatless burger introduced in the 1960's by Ray Kroc to McDonald's. It was a substitute for American Catholics that would not eat meat on Fridays. The burger was a slice of grilled pineapple with cheese on a bun. But this was designed to go up against the Filet-O-Fish, which was created by a Catholic McDonald's Franchisee Louis M. "Lou" Groen. McDonald's killed the Hula Burger early on, as it became quickly evident that its alternative, the Filet-O-Fish, was getting much better traction.
- McDonald’s radio silence in response to these digs is rather boring.
- McLobster was an American seasonal sandwich at McDonald's. Now it is only available in Atlantic Canada and New England region in the summer, when lobster is abundant. It is a lobster roll served in a hot dog bun with “lobster sauce” and shredded lettuce and was introduced in 1993. The product had supply issues and was not very profitable nationally.
- Media outlets are constantly attacking McDonald's restaurants for its unhealthy food, poorly treated employees, and failed menu items, and other restaurants have no qualms about trolling the organization.
- Food scandals are a regular Tuesday for McDonald’s, but foreign objects are a rarer entity in this list of debacles.
- McAfrika was either a tongue-in-cheek naming gag or just cringeworthy innocence.
- McDonald’s dispelled the viral image by releasing a video that details how McNuggets are actually made, the damage had been done, and McDonald’s finally had to admit that it stopped using mechanically separated meat only in 2011.
