The moment this 7-month-old puppy entered our training facility, he started howling in protest at the kennel. It was crucial that we bring him inside since kenneling a dog is one of the first leadership practices we implement.
Everything improves once a dog is confident in its ability and willingness to carry it out. However, you can't advance to more difficult training until the dog understands which behaviours are unacceptable.
