In this video, I'll be going up against the NPC turned lesser boss known as Andreas of Ebb with the help of my buddy CelticCanadian. Andreas of Ebb is an NPC that the player meets when first traversing through the Skyrest Bridge castle. He will be looking out at the cliffside on the outskirts of the main hall. At first he seems nice, but don't let his kindness fool you. He is a pretty big snarky narcissistic jerk. Overtime, he will move to the inner hall next to the vestige, and will give the player a key with a bell. That key is for opening the frozen bell door to the Fief of the Chill Curse location, and the bell door that leads to the Path of Devotion and the Manse of the Hallowed Brothers locations. Andreas of Ebb will then disappear from Skyrest Bridge for a period of time, and then will return and will be located in a side room in the main hall across a room that the NPC known as Kukajin will be in if she is freed from her stone imprisonment in the Forsaken Fen. Andreas will give the player the quest to retrieve a book he lost. A stigma is located at the back door to Upper Calrath at the end of the area across from Pieta's boss arena at Skyrest Bridge. If soulflayed, it gives the player the retrieved book, and it shows Andreas running away from Harkyn/The Iron Wayfarer after trying to take Harkyn's lamp, and in doing so he dropped his book. Once the book is retrieved, he will thank you, but he will also blame you for damaging the book even though it was he who damaged it during his time of cowardice. He will then give his services to fight by your side, and then will disappear to Upper Calrath on the outskirts of The Lightreaper's boss arena. Once entering The Lightreaper boss fight, Andreas will accompany you into the fight, but will immediately chicken out and run away, disappearing at the sight of The Lightreaper's dragon by throwing down a smoke pellet and vanishing like a ninja. Once The Lightreaper is defeated, Andreas will be waiting in the path leading toward the vestige of Upper Calrath, and will attack you. Andreas of Ebb uses a short sword that can inflict poison, uses poison throwing spears, and is fast when attacking and dodging. He has a tendency to parry a lot as well, making it difficult to attack in close combat without becoming a victim of Grievous Strikes. Knowing his abilities, CelticCanadian and I decided to play it safe and to use only lightning to attack. Lightning was surprisingly very effective and destroyed Andreas in the blink of an eye, and was a funny thing to watch.
