Tiger Shambhu @ Tadoba (Agarzari buffer zone)

We were extremely lucky to get a close-up view of the magnificent Tiger Shambhu at Erai lake in the Agarzari buffer zone at the Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, Maharashtra. We spotted Shambhu on the opposite side of the riverbank with resting in the cool water. We waited patiently for quite some time and as luck would have it, Shambhu swam across to our side, emerged out of the river and vanished into the thick bushes. He was totally unperturbed by our presence. Observing the grand tiger in it's natural habitat is truly a surreal experience which can only be experienced and cannot be explained in words. This was recorded on 17th March 2024.
