How to Stand Out in an Onsite Interview - My Secret Weapon for In Person Interviews!//
I will explain a tried and true strategy of how to stand out in an on site interview that will truly give you an edge against all the other candidates.
There are lots of on site interview tips and onsite interview preparation tips on how to prepare an interview about myself, but this is the single most powerful thing I've done to impress the interview panel.
It is about putting together a portfolio, or as I call it a BAMF Binder, which shows off all the cool things you've accomplished.
This is the key to onsite interview preparation, because it gives you the best talking piece to reference and show what you have to offer.
It's even great if you need to do an interview presentation about yourself,
or an onsite interview presentation. Most people do not know where to start, so I walk through:
1.What to put in the binder
2. How to make it
3. How to use it
4. An example binder
I have helped many professionals put together their BAMF Binders and THEY. ARE. STUNNED. at how impressed their interviewers are. One individual said that the binder is ultimately what got them the offer over the other candidate.
The great thing about the BAMF Binder technique is that it is great for students, freshers, and career changers because it shows your value in school/projects/unrelated roles where the skills can be translated to the job you are interviewing for. So these can be interview tips for students, interview tips for students for high school, interview tips for freshers, that will let them know how to do a good job interview!
