Alt Sachsenhausen in Frankfurt is full of Applewine gardens and restaurants selling Frankfurt style specialties, Frankfurt Grüne Soße, Frankfurt Schnitzel, Apfelwein, Hand Käse with Music, Rippchen with Kraut, Sachsenhauser Schnee Gestoiber, and of course Frankfurters.
Many of the buildings are centuries old and strolling down the cobblestone streets you get a bit of feeling of how Frankfurt might have looked in the 1700 and 1800s.
During the 60s, 70s, and 80s, Sachsenhausen was immensely popular with the American Military that were stationed in and around Frankfurt.
