It was a green and gold downpour on day two of the Cycling Australia Mars Road National Championships, with cycling world heavy weight Richie Porte (Sky) bagging the first national title of his illustrious career.
In the women's event, time trial queen Shara Gillow (Rabo-Liv Women’s Cycling Team) edged herself closer to equalling Kathy Watt's five time trial crowns.
In the under 23 men's event, it was track star Miles Scotson (SASI) who claimed victory over young-gun Oscar Stevenson (African Wildlife Safaris).
