Gita has the potential to change our lives but it's very unfortunate that our education system pays more attention to western philosophers, it clearly neglects the existence of great texts like Bhagavad Gita
It has the answers to the most difficult yet common questions that can come across human brain like
"why there is suffering?"
"If God created this universe, why can't everything be positive?"
"WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LIFE?
Arjun was the greatest warrior that the world had ever seen, he had the potential to end the battle of Mahabharata in just a few days but he was not able to fight his own mind, he was not able to judge what is right and what is wrong
Arjun was fighting a two front war, one with Kauravas and the other with himself. It was easier for Arjun to defeat Kauravas but he found himself powerless against his own self doubt. Arjun was intellectually sharp, so it was obvious to have certain relevant questions like "what i will achieve after killing my own brothers?" "If everyone is a devotee of God, why people commit crimes?"
Arjun's mind was surrounded by a huge cloud of questions
He asked these questions to none other than Sri Krishna.
Lord Krishna started giving answers to Arjun, Arjun being intellectually sharp continued throwing questions on Sri Krishna. Krishna ji answered all his questions and this conversation is known as gita gyaan.
