Been off and on learning this since November, and when I mean 'this' I'm mainly referring to building up muscle memory for Eddie's 'spider shape lick' that stretches from frets 12 up to 19. Really cool lick and I will for sure to a solo tips video on it to help with that and other parts of the solo that some people seem to miss. Anyway, killer track and killer playing from Eddie, Steve Lukather and (depending on who's story you believe) Paul Jackson Jr. too. The funky rhythm parts I believe belong to Paul, but whether or not that is him on the recording is another matter. Luke has a great story about how he, Jeff Porcaro and Humberto Gatica salvaged the wrecked Beat It tapes into what we know and love. Hope you enjoy! :)

I use a Jackson DK2 Dinky from 2004 (I removed the tone pot and moved the volume over) into a Boss Me50 (where I get my tone) into a Palmer Pdi-09 (which simulated a mic'd up cab) into a Focusrite Scarlett into my computer running Logic Pro X (where I add a little EQ and Reverb).
