Špindlerův Mlýn (German Spindlermühle or Spindelmühle, Polish Szpindlerowy Młyn) is a town in the Giant Mountains in the Trutnov district and at the same time the most visited mountain resort in the Czech Republic. Approximately 1,200 inhabitants live here. The city has an area of ​​7,694 hectares. As of 2016, there were a total of 43 hotels, 134 guesthouses and 23 mountain huts. The center is mainly visited by Czech tourists, Germans, Poles and Dutch also come here in large numbers. The bed capacity is around 10,000 beds. Špindlerův Mlýn is located at an altitude of 575-1555 m in the Giant Mountains. The highest point of the village is Luční hora, the second highest mountain in the Czech Republic. It lies at the confluence of the Elbe River and the Svatopetrské Stream, also called the Dolský Stream.
