For someone who's not well versed with the concepts, they should go through the NCERT textbooks of Class 6 to 10. For further advanced concepts, one could use ML Aggarwal ISC 11th and 12th-grade textbooks.
For Verbal, one of the best books available is "Word Power Made Easy" by Norman Lewis. Another great choice is "Brush up your English" by ST Imam.
For Test Series, one may use the Pearson Collection and Disha Publications.
