Mercedes-Benz Intelligent Drive Next – the assistance systems by Mercedes-Benz in the 2016 E-Class: The Parking Pilot with reversing camera allows piloted entry into and exit from parallel and end-on parking spaces, either forwards or backwards. In combination with Blind Spot Assist, even in conditions in which visibility is difficult when reversing out of a parking space, it also detects crossing traffic, gives a warning and responds with emergency braking if the situation is critical. With the Remote Parking Pilot it becomes possible to enter and leave tight parking spaces and garages using a smartphone from outside the vehicle.
