There are two ways to use 110 Electronics in Europe.
1. Use a 110 to 220 adaptor.
or
2. Use a 110 to 220 converter box.
Only difference is, not all items can use adaptors if they aren't compatible with a higher voltage.
But what happens when you plug in a 110 Light bulb into a 220 socket?
