Blick Mead is an ancient spring site just a stone's throw from Stonehenge, helping to shed light on the origins of the iconic yet enigmatic monument.
Blick Mead predates Stonehenge by many years, with activity stretching back to the time of the hunter-gatherers – the Mesolithic.
The spring – which doesn't freeze in winter – was a magnet for wild animals, and still possesses rare environmental properties that may have been significant to those that encountered it.
