KK Pathak, the Additional Secretary of Education in the Bihar government, was on a tour of government schools in Vaishali district. During this visit, he reached a government school in Sarai. There, he instructed a female teacher to reduce the attendance from 29 to 11. The teacher became nervous and gave an incorrect answer. According to a report by Sandeep Anand from India Today, the teacher is also the acting principal of that school. The education department has taken action against her, suspending her salary.
