Genie Garage Door opener 7055

I had a problem programming my remote after I replaced the battery. It turns out the buttons are molded into the motor cover and the backup battery was hanging on the motor cover and pulled it down enough so that when I pushed the program button it would not trigger into the program mode.

Also note there are two screws holding the cover in place and you have to remove the light covers to get to them.
