In this video I make ammonium chloride from hydrochloric acid and ammonia:
HCl + NH3 = NH4Cl

This is a particularly interesting reaction because it takes place in the gas phase and produces a very visible white smoke (I included the black backdrop to make this easy to see). This smoke is composed of ammonium chloride microcrystals, and is formed by simply bringing open containers of the reactants close together. This can happen in your home if you store muriatic acid and ammonia cleaner near each other, forming crystals around the rims of the containers.

I ended up with about 1g of NH4Cl crystallized from the liquid, but I imagine I could have gotten much more had I captured and condensed the smoke. That would be something interesting to try in the future.
