Rumah Inovasi Teknologi Budidaya Rumput
Rumah Inovasi Teknologi Budidaya Rumput Laut merupakan rumah produksi bagi alat budidaya rumput laut dengan nama Rakit Jaring Apung (RaJA) dan Jaring kantung Apung (JaKA). Inovasi budidaya rumput laut ini mampu melindungi rumput laut dari serangan hama dan menghindari penyakit ice-ice karena pengaruh perubahan drastis suhu dan salinitas permukaan. Teknologi budidaya ini sangat sederhana karena di desain dari pipa paralon dan jaring berbentuk persegi empat sebagai media budidaya rumput laut. Dari hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang sangat signifikan dalam pertumbuhan thallus rumput laut Jenis Kappahycus alvarezii dan Eucheuma denticulatum (Eucheuma spinosum) antara metode Jakit Jaring Apung dan Jaring Kantung Apung terhadap metode Longline. Hal ini karena metode longline adalah metode terbuka yang memberi peluang bagi ikan herbivora untuk memakan rumput laut.

This innovation is able to protect seaweed from hrbivorous fish dan sea turtle and avoid ice-ice disease due to the influence of drastic changes in temperature and surface salinity. This cultivation technology is very simple because it is designed from paralon pipe which is a rectangular net as a medium of seaweed thallus. The results of our research shows that there is a very significant difference in growth of seaweed thallus (Kappahycus alvarezii) and (Eucheuma denticulatum /Eucheuma spinosum) between the this methods against Longline method. This is because the longline method is an open method that gives an opportunity for herbivorous fish to graze seaweed.
