OOPS... 'fake' BluePill boards, and what to do about it

Stumbled upon a bit of a mess... one of the batches of blue pill boards I got in had non ST MCUs on them (I think CS32F103C8T6?) which would not work with an ST-link, ho here is a warning and a workaround.
