The perfect addition to any sensory room! Let’s walk through how to build the Bubble Tube from Fun and Function. Sonja, from our Product Development team, is here to show you how to safely build and maintain this amazing soothing sensory tool!

The Bubble Tube comes with the metal cap, the metal base, the acrylic tube, the power supply cord, and the remote control. Inside the base, you will find power supply remote hub, the plastic air tubes, and the air pump. You will also need a helping hand, as setup is a two person job, as well as, either distilled or boiled and cooled water. Start your setup near to where you would like the Bubble Tube placed, as moving after set up is not advised. Ensure that there is an electrical supply near to your desired location.
As a first step, ensure that the plastic air tubes are fitted tightly up against their respective nozzle. This ensures there are no leaks. Locate the power cord and feed the cord through the hole in the metal base. Thread the cord through the hole with one hand, and pull it up through the base with your other hand. Have the second helper hover the acrylic tube over the metal base. Feed the power cord up through the bottom of the acrylic tube, and locate the white power remote box. Hold the cord with one hand from the bottom of the tube, and use your other hand to hold the white remote box. Securely insert the power cord. Have your helper now slowly lower the acrylic tube into the metal base, while gently pulling the excess power cord out of the hole in the metal base so that excess cord does not get caught in the base. Be extremely gentle while pulling the excess, you don’t want to unplug it from the remote supply box! You are now ready to fill your Bubble Tube! Make sure to not overfill the tube past the max fill line. Doing so can results in overflows. Ensure to fill the Bubble Tube with either distilled, or boiled and cooled water. Do not pour hot water into the Bubble Tube. Once your Bubble Tube is filled, place the metal cap on top. Plug your Bubble Tube into an electrical outlet. Remove the plastic tab from your remote, and point the remote at the metal base of the Bubble Tube. You are now ready to turn on your Bubble Tube!
Use the remote to select from a variety of colors, or choose a fade between all of the colors. You can also control the brightness to adjust for the amount of sensory input needed.
Fun and Function suggests that you use a pitcher or a watering can for easy filling of the Bubble Tube. We also suggest that you plug your Bubble Tube into a surge strip to protect this awesome bubble column from any electrical surges.
