It's Lip's 18th birthday and he's in for a few surprises. Not least what the Maguires expect of him now he's come of age. When the kids' long-lost mother, Monica, turns up at Lip's party she threatens to turn their world upside down. But it's Frank who is especially worried, having illegally married Sheila in Monica's absence. Debbie really wants her mum out of the house but how far will she go to achieve it? Everyone is worried about Kev and Veronica when they fail to return from their booze cruise, but it becomes obvious that Sue knows more than she's letting on. But even she isn't prepared for the surprise gift that Marty has in store for her.
