About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to make a Minecraft Bedrock server. This will allow you to play Minecraft Bedrock Edition server that is online as long as your computer is online and running it. There is also an option for how to host a 24 hour Minecraft Bedrock server outlined in this video that will be online even when your PC isn’t running the server. That means that no matter what, you will be able to create a Minecraft Bedrock Edition server in this video!

First things first though, this video is honest on your own computer, and it does require a computer to run. It’s also meant for only people you trust. If you want a Minecraft Bedrock server that is up all the time, can be started even from a mobile device, that is where Minecraft Bedrock server hosting comes in. In this video, we talk about our company SimpleGameHosting, but there are other Minecraft Bedrock hosting companies out there.

With that being said, what if you do want to learn how to make a server in Minecraft Bedrock Edition on PC? Well, to get started, you will need to download the Minecraft Bedrock dedicated server files. You can find a link to download the Minecraft Bedrock server files in the description above.

Once you are there, click the agree to the EULA if you agree to it, and click “Download” under the “Minecraft Dedicated Server software for Windows" section. This will start the Minecraft Bedrock server files downloading.

After that, right-click on the .zip file you downloaded, and select “Extract All”. Then, click “Extract”. A new Minecraft Bedrock server folder will appear on your desktop once it is finished extracting. This is where all of your Minecraft Bedrock server files are located. Double-click the “bedrock_server.exe” file to start the server right away.

At this point, your friends can’t join your server, but you can. We just need to get the right IP address. To do this, open up the Start Menu, and search for “CMD”. Open the command prompt, and in it, type “ipconfig” and hit enter. This will give you some information. We need the Default Gateway and IPv4 address. Make note of both of these.

You may also need to run the command linked in the description above in the command prompt. This will allow you to join the server from the computer the server is running on.

Now, open up Minecraft Bedrock Edition, and click Play. Click on servers, and add a server. Use the IPv4 address we got from the command prompt as the server IP address, and the port can be left the same. You will be able to join the server.

In order for your friends to join the server though, we will need to forward ports 19132 and 19133 on the TCP and UDP protocols. This is covered in-depth in the video. After you have port forwarded, get your public IP from the description above. Your friends will join using your public IP as the address and 19132 as the port number.
