The Willys Jeep, originally developed by Bantam, later manufactured by Willys as MB, and Ford as GPW. More than 600.000 were manufactured during WWII, and it became the icon of the war.
It's robust design, easy to maintain drivetrain, and versatility made it the perfect vehicle for the troops.
Even after WWII the legend of the Jeep lives on in the civilian life.
