Jacksonville (FL) Sheriff's Office 2022 Police Memorial Day Observance

On Monday, April 11, 2022, survivors and colleagues gathered at the Fallen Officers Memorial Wall in downtown Jacksonville, Florida, to pay tribute to the law enforcement professionals who made the ultimate sacrifice in service for this community.  For the first time in the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office history, the city's annual Police Memorial Service was held at night to include a candlelight vigil. This ceremony remembers the 64 officers who have died in the line of duty in Jacksonville since recordkeeping began in 1840.
