November & December are one
November & December are one of the best times of year to chase yellowtail kingfish in New Zealand. The boys had planned to do as much fishing as the weather would allow over November and December. However, there was very little fishing done as the weather was less than ideal. On this trip due to a bad forecast, the boys chose to leave Sojourn at home to brave the elements to fish from the rocks. Everything happens for a reason and the decision to fish land-based leads the boys to the best day they have ever had land-based fishing in NZ. Big packs of hungry yellowtail kingfish turn up and try to eat everything 😁.

Milan and Nathan have been fishing together for over 15 years and had always dreamed about having a custom-built boat that would suit them and their fishing style perfectly. Danye at Marco Boats in their hometown Morrinsville has quite literally made that dream a reality. He took all the ideas the boys had and built a boat with the model name Sojourn. Sojourn meaning “a short stay”.
